This site contains practice tests in all areas.  It shows the correct answers and their solutions.  The site is free but you must register with the site prior to using it.

This is the official site of the Ohio Department of Education. From the Career-Technical and Adult Education menu on the left, choose Adult Education. From this Adult Education menu, choose General Educational Development (GED) to be connected to the area which will contain answers to all of your questions regarding the GED testing program.

This site offers a practice test.  It shows your score and analyses the typ of questions you missed and discusses strategies to use in answering them.  It cross-references to pages in the McGraw-Hill GED text.

GED Reference Site

Use the search feature on this page.  When you are directed to the search page type in "GED" and click the submit button.  You will be given a list of articles and web sites that relate to all aspects of GED testing.  This should give you access to answers to any question you may have regarding the GED program.

PBS Literacy Site

This free site requires you to set up a username and password.  After you have logged in explore the total site to find lessons and practice exercises and tests relating to the GED.

Peterson's GED Test Overview

This is an excellent overview of the GED test including what they are and how to pass them.  A section on tips and strategies gives helpful information.  A practice test is available for a fee.

An Algebra Tutor

This site is designed to assist in learning how to solve algebraic word problems.

Learning Objects

This is an outstanding site containing a series of power point presentations (lessons) for a wide variety of specialized topics in all fields. An excellent site for GED students or upper level ESL students. You can log in using the parmaable@yahoo.com email address and the password parma. In the upper right hand corner choose either ABE/ESL or General Education to view appropriate lessons.
